Accounting Major — B.S.

For students interested in pursuing careers as certified public accountants the School of Business also offers an M.S. in accounting. The combination of these two programs--a four-year B.S. in accounting and one-year M.S. in accounting--is registered with the New York State Education Department as a licensure qualifying program. Students may receive a B.S. in accounting after four years of study and an M.S. in accounting after their fifth year of study. Admission to the M.S. in accounting is separate from admission to the B.S. in accounting. The B.S. in accounting degree, if completed without the M.S. in accounting, is not a registered licensure qualifying program in New York state.
