Sport Studies Minor

The interdisciplinary sport studies minor meets the needs of students who wish to explore sport and its place in modern society. Grounded deeply in the liberal arts, the sport studies curriculum investigates the historical, sociological, and philosophical dimensions of sport.  Students have the opportunity to further their appreciation for the world of sport with elective study that explores such areas as the youth sport, sport in the civil rights movement, and sport in film and literature.
