CIIC 30000 Creative Industries Practicum (NLA)
Hands-on experience in the creative industries through co-curricular, extracurricular, or community-based participation. Students apply classroom learning to real-world contexts by engaging in projects, events, or organizational roles that develop professional skills and industry knowledge. Practicum experiences may include work with campus productions, student organizations, community arts initiatives, or other approved activities. Academic components include reflective journaling throughout the semester, synthesis discussions to connect practice with theory, and a final self-evaluation that assesses personal growth, professional skills, and application of course concepts. CIIC 40000 Creative Industries Senior Seminar (LA)
A culminating experience for students in the Creative Industries major. This seminar engages students in critical reflection, interdisciplinary synthesis, and collaborative inquiry as they integrate learning from general education and major coursework. The course fulfills the ICC Capstone requirement and asks student to create artifacts that demonstrate their skills of managing hands-on creative projects and enterprises through co-curricular opportunities and project-based learning.
